Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct clinical research for new or marketed drugs in Oncology (Thoracic Oncology), managing the full clinical development cycle: strategy, study design, initiation, execution, monitoring, analysis, regulatory reporting, publication, and conference presentations.
- Evaluate pre-clinical/translational work to generate early clinical development plans and INDs.
- Develop clinical development strategies incorporating latest science, regulatory requirements, competitive landscape, and commercial considerations.
- Plan and monitor clinical trials; analyze/summarize findings to support safety/efficacy decisions and submissions.
- Provide internal scientific leadership across cross-functional areas; interact with key opinion leaders.
- Manage Directors/Senior Directors and supervise clinical teams; collaborate with Section Head and cross-functional experts (commercialization, regulatory affairs, statistics, medical affairs, manufacturing).
- Maintain scientific expertise via investigator network building and attendance at scientific meetings; author development documents, presentations, budgets, and position papers; facilitate global collaborations; travel ~20%.

May also support other oncology therapeutic areas.

Education: M.D. or M.D./Ph.D.

Required Experience/Skills:
- Industry experience in Thoracic Oncology
- 3+ years clinical medicine; 5+ years industry drug development
- Track record in clinical medicine/biomedical research and scientific scholarship
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork

Preferred:
- Board Certified or Eligible in Oncology (and/or Hematology)
- Clinical research experience and prior publication
