Position Summary:
- Shape clinical delivery at scale as Disease Area Lead for Hepatology, Renal, and Cardiovascular diseases.
- Single point of accountability for development operations across major GSK assets—driving strategy, people, and performance from early phase through Phase IV.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set and own strategic vision and operational direction for the disease area portfolio; lead clinical operations leaders to deliver on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
- Own operational milestones, timelines, and quality standards from candidate commitment through life-cycle management.
- Lead the Disease Area Matrix Leadership Team with stakeholders to define vision, resourcing, and delivery strategy from design through regulatory submission/approvals.
- Define/oversee portfolio resourcing strategy (in-house vs. outsourcing); contribute to Business Development due diligence and clinical development planning.
- Identify and manage portfolio risks; embed Quality by Design and drive inspection readiness.
- Identify, integrate, and scale best practices and innovations to raise clinical delivery excellence.
- Develop and retain top talent; shape accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Partner with senior R&D leadership to align operational strategy with broader objectives, including partnership assets and new indications.

Leading with data and an enterprise mindset:
- Drive data-led decisions using portfolio analytics, delivery metrics, and external benchmarks.
- Champion data quality/integrity; ensure data is accurate, timely, and decision-ready.
- Apply enterprise thinking; contribute to capability building and strategy.
- Represent Clinical Operations at senior governance forums; bring external intelligence on industry trends, trial landscapes, and regulatory expectations.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (scientific discipline) with senior-level knowledge/experience in biopharmaceutical drug development within Clinical Operations.
- Significant senior leadership experience in global clinical operations; delivered complex multi-asset portfolios across Hepatology, Renal, and Cardiovascular.
- Ability to lead/coach teams in matrix organizations.
- Strong analytical capability; translates data into strategic choices.
- Enterprise-level thinking and exceptional stakeholder influencing across scientific, commercial, and governance audiences.
- Experience across all clinical phases, including early phase strategy and life-cycle management.
- Familiarity with outsourcing strategy, vendor governance, and budget management at portfolio scale.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced qualification preferred.
