General Summary:
Scientist in the Discovery Immunology Group to support discovery and development of novel protein therapeutics for autoimmune disease. Laboratory-based role designing, executing, and analyzing experiments related to immune mechanisms, target validation, and therapeutic development in a highly collaborative environment.
Key Duties And Responsibilities:
- Isolate, culture, and manipulate primary human immune cells and cell lines.
- Design and execute experiments to interrogate immune cell phenotype and function, including cell-based multicolor flow cytometry and Incucyte assays.
- Troubleshoot experiments and optimize protocols.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data; maintain accurate laboratory records.
- Collaborate with scientists across discovery teams to achieve project goals.
- Prepare data for internal reports and presentations.
Knowledge And Skills:
- Hands-on tissue culture experience with primary human immune cells and human cell lines.
- Strong immunology knowledge (T and B cell biology) and ability to acquire new skills.
- Ability to design and execute complex, disease-relevant experiments.
- Experience with multicolor flow cytometry, Incucyte assays; measuring soluble analytes (ELISA or ECLIA/MSD).
- Critical thinking, self-reliance, strong organization, attention to detail; collaborative work style.
Education And Experience:
- Ph.D. (or equivalent) in molecular/cell biology or related + 0–3 years post-doctoral experience, OR
- Master’s (or equivalent) + 3+ years relevant experience, OR
- Bachelor’s (or equivalent) + 6+ years relevant experience.
Pay Range:
- $105,600 – $158,400. Eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards.
