Position Summary
- Develop, lead, and execute the strategic engagement plan for worldwide cardiovascular professional societies and associations.
- Create and initiate innovative engagement strategies aligned to therapeutic area strategic imperatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic engagement plan for cardiovascular professional societies and associations worldwide.
- Serve as BMS strategic engagement lead and primary relationship manager; represent BMS externally, make presentations, and prepare internal reports.
- Manage and lead interactions with societies; maintain key strategic relationships for medical purposes.
- Work cross-functionally to plan, execute, and communicate societiesโ€™ strategic plan internally; interface with leadership and matrix teams.
- Advise internal BMS matrix teams and cross-functional initiatives; ensure alignment and resourcing to execute the societiesโ€™ strategic plan.
- Develop a framework for societies engagement and understand stakeholder interplay and complexities.
- Support educating internal stakeholders on societies and the functional role.
- Maintain regular communication with societies/associations to stay current on activities.
- Partner with senior leaders across functions (e.g., Cardiovascular Development, Discovery, Translational Medicine, HQ/Worldwide Medical, Commercial, Public Affairs, Access, Clinical Operations) to optimize interactions.
- Support internal/external activities including processes and procedures; contribute to improving engagement best practices.
- Provide strategic insight/coordination for relevant meetings with society/association leaders.
- Determine company representation/participation in initiatives (e.g., corporate roundtables, forums, science/clinical interactions).
- Create and monitor budgets; enter financial tracking data; provide periodic reports and analyses.
- Ensure 100% compliance with company policies and legal/regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience (Preferred/Required)
- Experience with professional medical societies and associations (preferred).
- BA/BSc minimum (relevant to pharmaceutical industry/life sciences) or advanced degree; PharmD/PhD/MD/MS preferred; general knowledge of pharmaceutical operations (advocacy, medical affairs, clinical development, regulatory, commercialization).
- 8โ€“10 years in the pharmaceutical industry and/or significant experience in stakeholder/organizational engagement or partnerships (public and/or private).
- Understanding of drug development continuum (development to commercialization); cardiovascular understanding preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, public communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record managing complex interactions; ability to innovate, analyze, and solve problems with attention to detail.
- Ability and willingness to travel globally.
- Cross-functional experience desirable.
