The Director will serve to help maximize the value in Psychiatry and Neuroscience. This position is responsible for designing and executing launch strategies for the Bipolar indication and Long-Acting (LAI) formulation to optimize life cycle and global success of the brand.
This role will provide WW commercial direction for the Bipolar indication and long- acting formulation for partnering closely with Country Marketers to determine commercial strategy; and Development, Medical, Regulatory, CMC, Commercial, and Project Leadership to help optimize overall development strategy; as well as to help prepare markets for global launch.
Domestic and International travel required (~20%).
Responsibilities:
- Leads the worldwide brand planning for Bipolar and LAI across marketing, medical, and access, and development of long-range forecasts
- Assessments of competitive data and events, assessing emerging trends that could impact the brand, and identifying implications to integrate into brand strategy and plans.
- Translates brand evidence into brand strategy to maximize messaging for Bipolar indication and LAI formulation
- Lead LAI viability assessment across indications to identify if there is opportunity beyond schizophrenia
- Responsible for branding development for the LAI formulation
- Work with the congress team to frame congress prioritization and coordination for Bipolar indication and LAI formulation
- Partners with opinion leaders, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders, external agencies/vendors to reinforce BMS commitment Psychiatry and Neuroscience.
- Informs with R&D, Medical and HEOR the continued evidence generation strategy and dissemination plans
- Partners with WW Value, Access, and Pricing team as needed to enhance the value story
- Partners with global supply organization to ensure availability of drug supply and minimize risks globally
- Collaborates with local country leadership to ensure strategic alignment through market insights and analytics, and pressure-testing of affiliate marketing plans
- Optimizes the Neuroscience commercialization model driving pull through of global launch strategies and execution excellence to the local affiliates for launches
- Builds strong relationships with market leadership to identify opportunities for improvements in the Go to Market process that support commercialization and launch excellence
- Builds a deep understanding of local market dynamics, including customer and competitive insights, and growth opportunities to drive local market execution
Qualifications:
- BA/BS required; MBA / graduate degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive industry experience with a proven track record of success across products in various stages of development, from pipeline to launch to in-market.
- Functional experience within Psychiatry or Neuroscience strongly preferred.
- Experience with Long-Acting Injectables in psychiatry space strongly preferred.
- US and Global experience strongly preferred.
- Understanding of commercial aspects of drug development including global/country market dynamics, operational feasibility, market access, patient advocacy, regulatory and reimbursement challenges across both domestic and international markets
- Collaborates across the organization to incorporate the needs of internal and external stakeholders in the commercial planning process
- Demonstrated marketing experience required
- Ability to critically assess opportunities with disciplined thinking to determine what is best for patients and our business, and to influence / build alignment with stakeholders
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to assimilate complex information to create and manage budgets and meet financial targets
- Proven track record demonstrating breadth and depth of experience across marketing competencies and exemplary achievement of performance objectives.
- Demonstrated experience in leading strategically, communicating with impact, and creating a strong, inclusive, energizing culture consistent with BMS values
- Experience in mobilizing matrix team members, embracing teamwork within a cross-functional environment
