Role Summary

Director, Vivarium Business Planning & Operations. Regeneronβ€šΓ„Γ΄s Vivarium team in Tarrytown, NY seeking a capable leader to partner with the VP of the Vivarium to drive strategic growth, planning, and operations across the department. Establishes a high-performing, strategic, effective and quality-focused organization and cultivates a climate of operational excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Key senior liaison to the executive leadership, communicating and working to achieve the department's strategic goals.
  • Modernization and standardization of processes, metrics, and communication to build efficiencies within the Vivarium; identify areas for process improvement and propose quality solutions.
  • Develop and execute guidelines and procedures in partnership with leadership, HR and Legal (e.g., absence management, procedures for inclement weather).
  • Manage and partner with team managers to ensure consistent workflow, policies, and procedures, with output and deliverables tracked.
  • Enable resource management through forecasting, oversight, and budgeting, including headcount assessment, tracking permanent vs temporary staff approvals, and monitoring budgets for materials.
  • Optimize space utilization for vivarium users.
  • Develop and maintain cross-departmental relationships to align operations with department and R&D goals and initiatives.
  • Champion communication within the department and with vivarium users/scientific investigators; manage content for departmental communications and Town Halls.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS degree with 10β€šΓ„Γ¬12 years of relevant R&D operational and project management experience in the drug development/pharmaceutical industry; ability to lead, coordinate, and facilitate development, alignment, and execution of project plans and budget forecasts.
