Role Summary

Director of Vaccines Portfolio Marketing External Engagement responsible for designing and delivering portfolio-wide external engagement marketing plans to increase immunization rates. Reports to the Portfolio Marketing External Engagement Lead and leads cross-functional collaboration with brand teams, medical, legal, regulatory, digital/tech, training, and external partners to maximize portfolio impact in line with CDC/ACIP guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver and execute portfolio marketing plan to address vaccination belief/behavioral barriers to pediatric, adolescent and adult immunizations
  • Serve as a point of contact and subject matter expert across the US vaccines business delivering marketing plans that pull through portfolio external engagement opportunities including closing HCP/Consumer perception gap, improving impact of HCP recommendations, identification and prioritization of opportunities with overlapping populations (e.g. Underlying Medical Conditions), and development of integrated portfolio engagement plan across key opinion leaders/external experts/professional associations/congresses
  • Partner with advertising agencies and other key external partners to ensure project deliverables are achieved on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with Vaccines customer facing and training teams on roll out and pull through of customer facing materials
  • Liaise with key stakeholders risk mitigation partners in the development and approval of marketing plans including but not limited to legal, regulatory, and medical colleagues
  • Contribute to achieving business unit revenue commitments and responsibly maximizing SI&A budget

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelors degree with 8+ years of sales / marketing pharmaceutical experiences
  • Required: Vaccines sales / marketing experience
  • Required: Experience designing, developing, gaining approvals, training and executing marketing plans and tactics
  • Preferred: Masters degree with 10+ years of sales / marketing pharmaceutical experiences
  • Preferred: Understanding of vaccines business and evolving healthcare landscape including key external stakeholder groups, customer types, population-based recommendations, manufacturer products and portfolios

Additional Requirements

  • Limited travel expectations: Travel may include attendance at sales meetings and field rides
