Role Summary

The Director, Pricing Systems Strategy will lead strategic initiatives across key pricing technologies including Model N, Price Forecasting Systems, and CDL-F Pricing for the US Pricing organization. This highly visible leadership role will drive system strategy, operational excellence, and process improvements to optimize pricing capabilities and support organizational objectives. The Director will work cross-functionally with IT / BTS, business partners, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant, and innovative pricing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and execute strategic vision for Model N pricing system to align with business goals and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee the establishment and strategy of an enterprise Price Forecasting System, working collaboratively to drive analytics, automation, and integration for accurate pricing insights.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for CDL-F Pricing System Strategy, ensuring alignment with evolving market, regulatory, and contracting requirements.
  • Guide organization toward quick wins and “low hanging fruit” to improve data accessibility and transparency while ensuring security reflects sensitivity of confidential pricing information.
  • Influence technology roadmaps, system upgrades, and transformation projects to deliver best-in-class pricing solutions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Pricing, BTS, Finance, Commercial, Finance Transformation) to ensure seamless system operations and process continuity.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices to maximize efficiency in pricing operations.
  • Manage ad hoc initiatives, special projects, and evolving business requirements tied to pricing system strategy.
  • Champion change management, user adoption, and functional training for pricing systems.
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations, proactively addressing gaps / risks. Partner with SOX PMO to ensure all SOX perspectives are considered and aligned.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Required: 15+ years in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or related industry with demonstrated experience in pricing systems, contract operations, or commercial IT.
  • Required: 5+ years experience managing teams within the same areas.
  • Required: Hands-on expertise with Model N, forecasting tools, or large enterprise pricing/contracting platforms.
  • Required: Strategic thinker with demonstrated project leadership and operational excellence.
  • Required: Strong analytical, process improvement, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Required: Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Preferred: Proven experience leading transformational projects or system implementations.
  • Preferred: Understanding of US pharmaceutical pricing, contracting, rebate, and government regulations.
  • Preferred: Experience in change management and cross-functional leadership.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Work Environment: Hybrid work model with periodic travel required for business meetings or project needs.
  • Reports to VP, US Contracting and Pricing Strategy.
