Primary Objective
- Provide financial leadership and business support for US Oncology Business Unit (sales ~$5B; margin ~$3B), including consolidated financial planning and reporting, internal controls, Oncology Pipeline financial planning consolidation, P&L management, and project management; partner with BU Capabilities and Commercial VP.
Core Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting and Internal Control
- Lead monthly/quarterly/annual close and reporting; ensure accurate, timely GAAP reporting per US DHQ requirements.
- Improve performance reporting, commentary, and contingency planning; develop dashboards to automate month-end analysis.
- Support US Finance Oncology Controller on internal and SOX controls, documentation (including contingencies), and compliance with AbbVie financial policies.
- Financial Planning and Analysis
- Lead planning processes (Plan, LBE, LRP) integrating sales forecast, pricing, and investment resourcing; ensure senior input for DHQ deadlines.
- Coordinate brand timelines, requirements, targets, and financial presentations.
- Support BU โstorytellingโ and ensure executive-ready, clear, concise deliverables.
- Oncology Pipeline Financial Planning
- Lead Pipeline planning cycles (Plan, LRP) integrating sales forecast, pricing, and investment resourcing.
- Ensure appropriate resourcing for pipeline assets to support successful launches.
- Strategic Business Partnership / Special Projects
- Lead interactions with US DHQ and FP&A process within US Oncology.
- Partner with US Oncology Commercial VP and Director BU Capabilities on budget management.
- Provide analyses for ad hoc/special projects and lead special projects aligned with US BU Finance Controller.
- Team Leader
- Lead and develop US Oncology Finance Consolidation and PCS FP&A team.
Qualifications
- 12+ years finance experience; Bachelorโs in Accounting or Finance.
- Excellent verbal/written communication.
- Experience leading/motivating teams; solving problems via data analysis.
- Executive presence; ability to challenge status quo; build relationships.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
- Preferred: MBA (Accounting/Finance) and/or CPA; US Commercial experience; SAP, BPC, PowerBI experience.
