Director, IBD Field Strategy & Execution
Key Responsibilities
- Lead field strategy and execution, including readiness planning, to support successful UC/CD launches across all field-facing roles.
- Orchestrate across field teams (Sales, Account Management, FRMs, Training) to enable optimal account management, performance, customer experience and compliance.
- Develop and lead a comprehensive field learning and upskilling strategy (longitudinal training plan) to build clinical expertise and execution capability.
- Establish an execution effectiveness measurement plan to assess launch readiness and track pre-launch/launch/post-launch progress.
- Define and track execution KPIs to continuously optimize performance via refinement of strategy, training priorities, and execution plans.
- Lead marketing planning and delivery of field communications, launch meetings, and National Sales Meetings.
- Conduct routine cross-functional calls with Marketing and Sales leaders for feedback and guidance.
- Provide recommendations to achieve business goals for field execution and marketing communications.
- Partner with stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Learning & Development, Compliance, Payer Marketing) on customer engagement and promotion.
- Partner with Product Marketing Owners to drive transparency, coordination, and prioritization.
- Lead through influence and talent development; build a high-performing team (up to 2 direct reports).
Education
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent required.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Required Experience and Skills
- 10+ years in marketing, sales, field leadership, and/or U.S. commercial roles.
- Launch experience leading through ambiguity and driving execution in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent project management; strong verbal/written communication and executive presence.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing with/without direct authority.
- Strong business acumen; understanding of U.S. commercial and regulatory requirements; high compliance IQ; growth mindset and support for agile ways of working.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Sales leadership; Account Management (e.g., IAM).
- Agile familiarity.
- Experience supporting product launches, launch readiness, field training, field communications, or field execution planning.
- Immunology/IBD/specialty care experience; knowledge of health care ecosystem and market access (ideally infusion Buy & Bill and specialty pharmacy subcutaneous).
