PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the national team of LSD Therapy Access Managers; set expectations, drive accountability, and ensure consistent execution of access and reimbursement strategy across geographies.
- Translate strategic priorities into field execution plans to improve patient access and payer/reimbursement knowledge.
- Develop/monitor data-driven insights, dashboards, and key performance metrics to assess performance, identify trends/gaps, and inform business decisions.
- Create guidance and field resources to support conversations with institutional stakeholders and HCPs on access/reimbursement for infused products.
- Innovate digital capabilities and technology enhancements to improve workflows.
- Maintain market access and policy expertise in rare disease to anticipate and mitigate access barriers.
- Partner cross-functionally (Patient Access Services, National Accounts, Sales, Marketing, Trade, Compliance, Clinical, Operations) to align access priorities, escalation pathways, and execution opportunities.
- Use payer/market/field intelligence to identify reimbursement barriers, adjust strategy, and optimize resource allocation.
- Ensure team activities comply with company policies and applicable legal/regulatory requirements.
- Represent the team in internal leadership forums and national meetings.
- Travel as needed (up to ~50%).
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years in pharma/biotech/healthcare with significant market access, reimbursement, patient support, or related commercial experience.
- 5+ years leadership experience coaching/developing field-based or matrixed teams.
- Bachelorβs required; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience executing access/reimbursement strategies at scale.
- Strong data/analytics experience.
- Deep understanding of access/reimbursement, payer policy, site-of-care, and patient access challenges in rare disease.
- Experience with both βbuy and billβ and Specialty Pharmacy pathways.
- Knowledge of payer environment (government and commercial).
- Ability to interact with customers (prescribers, institutional decision-makers, patients).
- Patient services/HUB program knowledge and collaboration.
- Proven influence across a matrixed organization and communication with senior leaders.
- Compliance knowledge (HIPAA, OIG guidance, Anti-Kickback Statute, company policies).
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Lead national field teams for complex access/reimbursement.
- Rare disease/specialty/launch experience.
- Build business reviews, scorecards, dashboards, performance reporting.
- Experience with CRM/analytics platforms (e.g., Salesforce.com).
- Limited distribution and specialty pharmacy channel experience.
