Role Summary
Location: Cambridge, US; New Jersey, US. We are seeking a strategic corporate communications leader to drive initiatives that enhance BioNTech’s reputation and engage external and internal audiences. You will develop and implement programs to build awareness and understanding of BioNTech’s strategy, pipeline, and culture, in support of company goals.
Responsibilities
- Drive communications strategy for key corporate reputation initiatives and lead campaigns that build measurable awareness of BioNTech’s strategy, pipeline, products, and culture
- Craft differentiated narratives, messaging, materials and content; ensure consistent implementation across programs and channels
- Create executive visibility through thought leadership, traditional and social media engagement, and speaking opportunities
- Collaborating with Public Affairs and Market Access on US policy communications
- Maintain relationships with journalists and industry organizations; pitch proactive stories, and manage inquiries
- Launch new social media channels and lead channel and content strategy
- Use internal communications to strengthen employee engagement and understanding of business priorities
- Monitor news and trends; proactively manage issues and protect company reputation
- Leverage data analytics to measure the impact of communication strategies
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or Life Sciences; 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech communications
- Required: Strong understanding of the US healthcare policy landscape and industry trends
- Required: Collaborative team player with an enterprise mindset who can work effectively in cross-functional teams and a matrixed organization
- Required: Expertise in media relations, social media strategy, and project management
- Required: Strategic thinker with strong stakeholder management capabilities and ability to provide insights to support decision making
- Required: Proven ability to manage issues with outstanding judgment and adaptability
- Required: Flexibility and agility to navigate dynamic, fast-paced environments; ability to adapt with evolving business needs
- Preferred: Experience in pharmaceutical and biotech communications in oncology
