Role Summary

Director, US Advanced Analytics – Dermatology, Respiratory and Gastroenterology leads a team that uses predictive analytics, including AI/ML models, to assess and improve promotional effectiveness across Sanofi Specialty Care’s US DERM & RESP / GI business unit. Part of the Insights & Analytics team within the North America Go to Market Capabilities organization, this role partners with US Commercial leadership to develop and apply advanced analytical capabilities for the US DERM, RESP & GI portfolio. Based in Cambridge, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Retain & develop high-quality talent to build a best-in-class Advanced Analytics team
  • Support hiring and development of onshore and offshore Advanced Analytics team members, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and inclusion
  • Lead Hub team day to day on projects in a matrix management structure
  • Coordinate with the larger Advanced & Omnichannel Analytics team and Commercial leadership to prioritize requests and balance team workload
  • Manage team budgets and relationships with external vendors to accomplish key Advanced Analytics & Commercial goals
  • Ensure the team is aware of and compliant with relevant policies and SOPs
  • Allocate resources to provide comprehensive Advanced Analytics support, empowering Commercial teams to measure and optimize marketing effectiveness; translate outputs into concrete action plans and communicate recommendations to senior leadership
  • Lead collaboration between Advanced Analytics and Sanofi Digital Data Science teams to develop and enhance internal marketing effectiveness models
  • Partner with US GTMC Marketing Science Analytics lead to refresh marketing mix models with brand-specific context
  • Assist US Commercial leadership in designing and testing promotional investment scenarios
  • Apply data science techniques (machine learning, statistical modeling, AI) to unlock insights and new strategies
  • Lead model development of Patient Identification models to enhance HCP targeting and segmentation
  • Lead model development of Patient Support Services models to inform PSS strategy across FRMs, Case Managers and Specialty Pharmacies
  • Act as TA-dedicated Advanced Analytics advisor on Marketing Science/Consumer/Omnichannel model builds, ensuring methodological consistency and brand-specific business rules
  • Support US DERM & RESP / GI Media & Omnichannel teams in understanding channel performance and advancing omnichannel initiatives
  • Coordinate with Omnichannel leads to assess campaigns' data requirements and design impact metrics
  • Inform development of KPI reports to assess performance by channel
  • Drive integration of Omnichannel Analytics with broader Advanced & Brand Analytics for a comprehensive narrative on marketing execution
  • Provide strategic guidance and ad-hoc support to US DERM & RESP / GI Commercial teams and I&A as an Analytics SME
  • Spearhead ad-hoc Analytics initiatives to understand and impact key business levers; collaborate with Brand Analytics to leverage AI/ML outputs for targeting and sizing
  • Support data management/analysis platforms to facilitate collaboration and drive analytics best practices within I&A
  • Partner with other I&A teams to advocate for continued development of internal analytics capabilities

Qualifications

About You

  • Required: BA/BS with advanced certification in modern data science/machine learning, or MS/PhD in a quantitative field
  • Required: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a significant Data/Analytics role
  • Required: Advanced knowledge of statistical models and applied techniques (e.g., Bayesian statistics, regression, customer lifetime value, A/B testing)
  • Required: Strong strategic thinking with deep understanding of the life-sciences industry
  • Required: Experience with pharmaceutical data sources and analytics platforms (e.g., IQVIA NPA/NSP, IQVIA/Symphony/Komodo, Capgemini/LiquidHub, Veeva/Salesforce, CM360/SA360, Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics, Databricks, Snowflake, Tableau/Qlik/Power BI, Excel/PowerPoint/Word)
  • Required: Strong communication skills with ability to summarize complex ideas for senior leadership
  • Preferred: Relevant therapeutic area experience (dermatology, respiratory, immunology, etc.)
  • Preferred: Proficiency in programming languages (SQL and Python)
  • Preferred: Experience leading teams and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Preferred: Ability to work in ambiguous environments and strong project management skills
  • Preferred: Ability to influence key business decisions
