Job Summary (Primary Function)
- Formulate and implement translational science strategies for the Dermatology, Inflammation and Auto-Immunity (IAI) pipeline, applying state-of-the-art technologies to generate deep scientific insights for novel therapeutics.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with drug discovery and clinical development teams to develop translational strategies and drive clinical development decisions.
- Deliver robust translational data supporting the dermatology and inflammation pipeline.
- Review, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources; continually evaluate how findings may impact drug development programs.
- Represent Translational Sciences in dermatology by providing scientific expertise, strategic direction, and leadership to matrix partners and external experts.
- Document and communicate insights via written and oral presentations to the development team and medical community.
- Translate insights from clinical research to Discovery sciences to support next-generation therapeutics.
- Independently deliver translational strategies while fostering collegial team interactions.
Qualifications
- Scientific background in immunology, cell biology, or related field (MD/PhD or PhD with 5+ years drug development experience).
- Track record delivering biomarker strategies and analysis plans to key stakeholders in support of clinical drug development.
- Proficiency using multi-omics datasets in matrix team settings.
- Experience developing clinical trial documents (protocols, statistical analysis plans, informed consents, investigator brochures).
- Ability to balance multiple tasks; manage external research activities via CROs/collaborators.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; motivated team player with high independence and scientific curiosity.
