Position Summary: Lead Translational Sciences operations supporting nonclinical, toxicology, and pharmacology/pharmacometrics clinical functions. Own systems enabling clinical/nonclinical activities, including internal/external vendor and contract management, agreements oversight/due diligence, and management of budgets and timelines.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee operational management of Translational Science project activities to deliver to plan, budget, and program commitments.
- Provide cross-functional project support across programs with CMC and Clinical Development.
- Identify/manage vendors and consultants; oversee associated contracts and budgets (partnering with Finance, Legal, Vendor Management, Project Management).
- Guide team to assess/resolve operational project issues and improve effectiveness.
- Own operational Translational Science meetings for budget compliance and coordinate with CMC to ensure compound supply.
- Partner with Head of Translational Sciences to maximize efficiency and anticipate/mitigate hurdles.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field.
- ~10 years progressively responsible experience in project operations/management, preferably early-stage drug development.
- Experience managing team resources, budgets, and external vendors/consultants (pharma/biotech preferred); equivalent combination may be considered.

Key Skills (required/preferred):
- Cross-functional delivery across complex programs.
- Drug development process knowledge; GxP understanding (GLP, GCP).
- Operational experience in early-stage development (academic/CRO contracts, timelines, execution).
- Demonstrated operational management of Toxicology and Clinical Pharmacology.
- Vendor/performance & deliverables management; multi-priority management.
- Budget/resource planning and advanced Microsoft Project/Word/Excel and reporting/tracking tools.
- Strong interpersonal/negotiation/problem-solving; domestic/international travel.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated): Salary range $200,700β€”$250,900 USD; eligible for discretionary bonus and equity.

Other: Hybrid role (San Diego, CA / San Francisco, CA / Princeton, NJ), average 3 office days/week; occasional overnight travel and after-hours work as needed.
