Translational PK/PD Scientific Director (Scientific Director)

Responsibilities
- Serve as expert PK/PD modeler in cross-functional teams to support model-informed decisions on drug discovery, modality selection, and dose prediction.
- Integrate in vitro and in vivo data to build PBPK, QSP, or other mechanistic modeling platforms for drug disposition and pharmacology, enabling forward/reverse translation for established and novel targets.
- Guide software developers on automated workflows implementing modeling platforms to inform human PK/PD and dose projections.
- Collaborate to develop modeling and simulation strategies to identify and optimize drug candidates.
- Provide scientific guidance and supervision to a growing team of scientists; mentor and supervise junior colleagues.

Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in relevant fields (Pharmaceutics/Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacology, Systems/Quantitative Pharmacology, Biomedical/ Chemical Engineering, Applied Math/Mathematical Biology, Biostatistics/Statistics, Computational/Systems Biology, Biophysics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Toxicology, or equivalent) with β‰₯7 years; or PharmD with β‰₯9 years; or MS with β‰₯11 years. Experience must show increasing responsibility/independence in drug discovery/development.
- Hands-on translational PKPD and PBPK modeling experience using standard tools (e.g., Matlab/SimBiology, OSP Suite, Simcyp, Gastroplus, Monolix, R) for biologics/protein therapeutics and/or peptides.
- Expert mathematical problem solving, data analysis/interpretation, experimental design, and statistics.

Preferred
- Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and oversee work of scientists and software developers.
- Expertise developing novel translational modeling strategies or automated workflows using PBPK, QSP, or related mechanistic models.
