The Translational PK/PD Scientific Director (Physiologically-based Pharmacokinetic/PBPK modeling) will lead mechanistic modeling strategy for drug discovery, focusing on biologics, protein therapeutics, and peptides.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as expert PK/PD modeler in cross-functional teams to support model-informed decisions on discovery, modality selection, and dose prediction.
- Integrate in vitro/in vivo data to build PBPK, QSP, or other mechanistic platforms for forward/reverse translation.
- Guide software developers to design automated workflows implementing modeling platforms for PK/PD and dose projections.
- Collaborate across PDMB to develop modeling/simulation strategies to identify and optimize candidates.
- Provide scientific guidance, cross-functional supervision, and mentor/supervise junior colleagues.
Required:
- PhD (or equivalent) in relevant fields with β₯7 years experience; or PharmD/β₯9 years; or MS/β₯11 years; experience must show increasing responsibility/independence in drug discovery/development.
- Hands-on translational PKPD and PBPK modeling experience using standard software (e.g., Matlab/SimBiology, OSP Suite, Simcyp, Gastroplus, Monolix, R).
- Expert skills in mathematical problem solving, data analysis/interpretation, experimental design, and statistics.
Preferred:
- Experience leading interdisciplinary teams and overseeing scientists/software developers.
- Expertise developing novel translational modeling strategies or automated workflows using PBPK/QSP.
