Role: Director, Translational Pharmacology within Research & Nonclinical Development at Travere Therapeutics, focusing on external evaluation of business development opportunities in the rare disease space. Responsibilities: assess therapeutic rationale, disease biology, mechanisms of action, pharmacology, and biomarker strategies for potential assets; support diligence activities and scientific assessments; interpret preclinical and translational data; lead external scientific engagements; contribute to nonclinical and regulatory support; provide scientific leadership within a collaborative matrix. Requirements: PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent with 10+ years (or 6+ with advanced degree) in biopharma, expertise in pharmacology, translational science, and disease biology; experience evaluating drug candidates, mechanisms of action, and translational strategies; knowledge of regulatory requirements; proven ability to synthesize complex data and lead scientific initiatives. Preferred: experience in rare diseases, biomarker development, external collaborations, and nonclinical safety.
