Director, Toxicology

Role: The Director of Toxicology leads and manages the site’s toxicology and safety pharmacology study teams, serving as a scientific expert and mentor. Objectives include overseeing study protocols, data review, SOP development, and ensuring high-quality, compliant toxicology studies. Responsibilities encompass supervising Study Directors, reviewing work, coordinating training, representing the organization in client meetings, and aligning deliverables across sites. The role may involve acting as a Study Director in general toxicology and contributing to scientific publications and proposals. Requirements: Doctoral degree with D.A.B.T. certification; at least five years’ experience in toxicology or related fields; strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; proficiency with computer applications; experience managing teams preferred. High-Value: General toxicology, safety pharmacology, preclinical studies, regulatory compliance, SOP adherence, managing multidisciplinary teams, and client engagement. The position demands physical presence in vivarium areas, with work involving PPE and animal handling. The salary range is $120,200–$175,000, depending on qualifications, with benefits including health, dental, 401K, and paid leave.
