Director of Third Party Risk Management
Responsibilities:
- Provide regional oversight and execute the enterprise third-party risk management (TPRM) program.
- Ensure third-party risks across suppliers, service providers, and external partners are identified, assessed, mitigated, and escalated per the global TPRM framework.
- Execute the global TPRM vision, framework, and operating model.
- Ensure consistent, risk-based application of third-party risk processes; act as escalation point for material/emerging risks.
- Support global governance with regional insights and reporting.
- Maintain alignment with regulatory and industry standards for third-party risk management.
- Partner with Compliance and Risk domain owners on supplier assessments, issue remediation, and corrective action plans.
- Oversee end-to-end TPRM lifecycle: onboarding, due diligence, ongoing monitoring, issue management, and offboarding.
- Support effective use of TPRM technology platforms; ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of risk data.
- Drive adoption of automation, AI, analytics, and data-driven tools to improve TPRM efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelorβs degree in a relevant field (required); advanced degree or certifications preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive Third Party Risk Management experience (preferably in pharmaceutical/biotech or other regulated industries).
- Prior people management experience (required).
- Experience with TPRM technologies and risk monitoring platforms; strong preference for automation and AI-enabled tools in risk/compliance processes.
- Ability to leverage AI-enabled capabilities within approved platforms (e.g., risk screening, monitoring, analysis, reporting).
- Ability to partner across Procurement Technology, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, IP, Information Security, and other risk domain owners.
