Role Summary
Director Technical Product Manager β Global Service & Repair leads the global vision and execution for Johnson & Johnsonβs MedTech service and repair offerings for capital equipment. The role shapes the technical strategy, drives innovation, and ensures service excellence across regions to improve customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and revenue growth. Location options include Raritan, NJ; Santa Clara, CA, or remote in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the global strategy for service and repair of medical capital equipment, aligning with overall business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Professional Relations & Operations, Customer Service and Service & Repair to drive product development and service enhancements.
- Define product roadmaps with technology and business stakeholders and prioritize features and initiatives to improve service efficiency, reliability, and customer experience.
- Influence value-driven backlog prioritization by engaging stakeholders, assessing business impact, and balancing technical feasibility to maximize ROI.
- Foster stakeholder alignment by effectively communicating the value of initiatives and securing buy-in for backlog items and strategic projects.
- Drive innovation in service delivery models, including digital solutions, remote diagnostics, and predictive maintenance.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to ensure service excellence, cost management, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance processes across all regions.
- Lead global initiatives to standardize service processes and leverage best practices.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Healthcare, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Required: 12 years of relevant technical experience.
- Required: Proven experience in product management, service strategy, or related roles within the medical device or healthcare technology sector.
- Required: Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and ensure compliance and GxP knowledge.
- Preferred: Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics and ERP systems.
- Preferred: Solid understanding of medical technology, capital equipment, and service/repair ecosystems.
- Preferred: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement global strategies.
- Preferred: Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, capable of securing agreement across diverse teams.
- Preferred: Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in data-driven decision making.
