Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Transformation Partnership & Strategic Alignment: Serve as a trusted thought partner to SVP of DTE and senior leaders; align sourcing strategies to the DTE transformation vision/roadmap; influence technology investment strategies, operating models, and partner selection; translate DTE priorities (digital, data, AI/ML, engineering) into sourcing strategies; embed Strategic Sourcing upstream.
- Category Strategy & Value Creation: Define and lead multi-year, transformation-aligned global category strategies; use non-traditional value levers (innovation access, capability building, speed acceleration, risk reduction); leverage market intelligence; establish KPIs reflecting business impact (time-to-deploy, innovation outcomes, scalability).
- Strategic Sourcing & Commercial Outcomes: Lead complex sourcing initiatives (cloud modernization, data platforms, digital engineering); design/negotiation of innovative commercial models (outcome-, consumption-based, co-investment, partnerships); use flexible, partnership-oriented sourcing; provide executive oversight on deal strategy.
- Strategic Supplier Partnerships: Build strategic partner ecosystem; establish executive partnerships for co-innovation/roadmap alignment; lead governance models; drive supplier consolidation.
- Business Partnering & Demand Management: Influence demand and solution design; reframe requirements to outcomes; support make-vs-buy/build-vs-partner; embed procurement in transformation programs.
- Risk, Compliance & Governance: Balance speed/innovation with cybersecurity, data privacy, and third-party risk; embed risk into models/selection; ensure agility with compliance.
- Leadership & Capability Evolution: Lead and develop sourcing team; drive capability development; prioritize initiatives; implement tools/playbooks/standard ways of working; coach/mentor; foster continuous learning culture.

Measures of Success
- Define/track transformation KPIs (innovation enablement, speed-to-market, partner performance); deliver value outcomes (cost, innovation, stakeholder satisfaction); refine strategies as priorities evolve.

Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Technology, or related field (MBA/advanced degree preferred).

Required Experience & Skills
- 10+ years procurement/supply chain/technology-enablement; 5+ years leadership.
- Expertise leading multi-year global category strategies; integrate market intelligence and supplier capabilities.
- Trusted advisor to senior leaders (CIO/CTO/SVP); influence demand and align sourcing to transformation.
- Ability to structure/negotiate complex enterprise agreements (software/cloud/services) and design value-based commercial models.
- Experience building strategic supplier ecosystems and governance/performance frameworks.
- Proven ability enabling transformation through sourcing while balancing innovation, speed, and risk.
- Strong knowledge of tech sourcing categories (enterprise software, cloud, data/analytics, engineering services) and cost drivers.
- Advanced analytical skills; strong S2P process/procurement tech knowledge; contracting/risk/regulatory understanding.
- Ability to lead/coach high-performing teams; strong communication; lead cross-functional global initiatives.
