Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement corporate objective-based Thought Leader engagement plans to gather insights from current and emerging Thought Leaders.
- Track Thought Leader insights impacting the brand and use them to identify market gaps/opportunities supporting commercial and marketing strategy.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and Thought Leaders, representing brand interests and collaborating with leadership and relevant functions.
- Ensure alignment with brand vision/strategic imperatives to implement corporate objectives.
- Manage regional and national conventions, congresses, and commercial advisory boards supporting marketing initiatives.
- Identify, coordinate, and contract appropriate Thought Leaders for approved consulting needs (e.g., Advisory Boards, training).
- Support sponsorships and Patient Advocacy Organizations for enterprise-wide (non-tactical) coordination.
- Support development and execution of Speaker Bureau programs with cross-functional teams.
- Operate in accordance with code of conduct and all company policies/procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 12+ years of commercial experience in pharmaceutical/biotech with a similar high-science rare disease therapeutic area.
- Bachelorβs degree in life sciences/pharmacy/related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Midwest location preferred; expected National conference coverage.
- Proven track record developing and implementing Thought Leader strategies through compliant/engaging interactions.
- Role requires strong Ophthalmology therapeutic area understanding and competitive landscape/trends.
Travel:
- Extensive travel (~40%), including weeknights/weekends.
Benefits/Compensation:
- Base salary range: $200,000β$235,000 (exact depends on factors such as experience, skills, education, location, competencies, and knowledge).
