Role: Senior scientific leader in long-acting injectable (LAI) and bio-nano interface characterization within Lillyβs Drug Delivery group, focusing on polymer and lipid depot platforms to extend dosing and improve delivery of biologics, peptides, and nucleic acids. Responsibilities: define multi-year technical strategy, serve as a technical authority on depot systems and bio-nano interactions, lead cross-functional teams, foster external collaborations, and oversee preclinical studies for platform de-risking. Requirements: PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, chemical/biomedical engineering, or related field; 8+ years in industry with expertise in long-acting injectable/depot formulations, nanoparticle development, release-rate engineering, and physicochemical characterization; experience in regulated environments and AI/ML tools; proven leadership, mentorship, and scientific communication skills.
