Role: Senior scientific leader in analytical development and characterization within Lilly's Drug Delivery group, focusing on biologics, peptides, and nucleic-acid medicines, especially long-acting, controlled-release, and nanoparticle systems. Responsibilities: define technical strategy for analytical methods—separation science, in vitro release, and physicochemical characterization—supporting IND and CMC readiness; lead cross-functional teams; represent Lilly externally with academia, CDMOs, and regulators; mentor scientists; leverage AI/ML tools for research acceleration; build external collaborations. Requirements: PhD in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related field; 8+ years in pharmaceutical analytical development; expertise in chromatography, method validation, and biophysical characterization; proven leadership and scientific communication skills; experience integrating analytical science into regulatory and manufacturing strategies. Preferred: experience with complex delivery systems, in vitro dissolution, proteomics, and external scientific engagement.
