Job Overview

The Regeneron Genetics Center (RGC) is a uniquely integrated research initiative that seeks to improve patient care by using genomic data to speed drug discovery and development. The Director, Solutions Architect, is responsible for RGC’s software architecture. They will help shape solutions on RGC’s cloud and data platforms working on the cutting-edge technology and grappling with big data in support of world-leading genetic data generation and analysis of millions of genotyped and sequenced humans.

Key Focus Areas Include

  • Embedding AI capabilities into SSDLC and DevOps practices
  • Hands-on design and implementation of Secure Research Environment tooling and solutions
  • Design and implementation of solutions to support analysis at scale at RGC

In This Role, A Typical Day Might Include the Following

  • Define and oversee solution architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technical standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to converge business strategies and technology solutions effectively.
  • Drive innovation and experimentation with emerging technologies to enhance IT solutions.
  • Ensure quality, compliance, and secure architecture patterns across systems and applications.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and actively contribute to solution development and implementation.
  • Simplify and optimize IT architecture for efficiency and scalability based on organizational needs.
  • Establish priorities and strategies that align technology solutions with business goals.
  • Promote continuous learning, improvement, and innovation across teams.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Director, Solutions Architect, you must have 12+ years of in-depth experience in Cloud, Data platforms, and other relevant areas. Expertise in implementing systems architecture at enterprise level. Solid understanding of Agile, Lean and DevOps practices and experience architecting in environments using these methodologies. A proven track record interpreting technical needs, ensuring methodologies meet process standards, and quantifying business/financial impact. Demonstrated leadership and partnering skills, plus excellent verbal and written communication skills, with focus on informing, influencing and relationship building. Strong project management and coordination skills with proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and manage multiple projects. AWS and other related certifications are a plus.

Salary Range (annually)

$202,000.00 - $336,600.00
