Director / Senior Director of Medicaid Revenue Optimization & Automation

Responsibilities:
- Ensure each assigned State’s Medicaid rebate program complies with CMS and applicable federal/state requirements; monitor programs, maintain staffing levels, and oversee training for Medicaid analysts.
- Lead technology-driven transformation by adopting automation tools (AI, Bots) to streamline Medicaid rebate processing, data validation, and reporting; use Model N’s Flex for Medicaid adjudications.
- Lead cross-functional projects to re-engineer Medicaid processing workflows, improving cycle time, compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Prevent revenue leakage using robust controls, analytics, dashboards, and exception reporting.
- Oversee end-to-end dispute management using analytics/automation; collaborate with state agencies and internal teams to resolve claim discrepancies and minimize outstanding balances.
- Manage adjudication, validation, and dispute resolution for Medicaid rebates for generic and branded pharmaceuticals, ensuring precision aligned to regulatory standards and internal controls.
- Align stakeholders (state agencies, finance, value & access, IT, compliance), track legislation/guidance/contract changes, and communicate updates.
- Lead training and development; foster continuous learning and collaborative culture.
- Manage and mentor a 10+ person team; provide strategic direction, feedback, and career development.
- Drive accountability for Medicaid rebate budget and financial forecasting.

Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Business, Finance, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years biopharmaceutical pricing/contracting with 7+ years Medicaid rebate/pharmaceutical revenue management; leadership in automation/technology adoption.
- Project management and change management expertise.
- Process automation (AI, Bots) and process optimization with measurable impact on efficiency, accuracy, compliance.
- Innovation track record; advanced proficiency with Model N, Flex (or similar) and data analytics tools.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving/communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities; experience with generic and branded preferred.
