Role: Senior Advisor Scientist leading cell line development within Lilly's biopharmaceutical R&D, focusing on large-molecule modalities such as monoclonal antibodies and gene therapies. Responsibilities: define technical strategy for CHO cell line platform, evaluate emerging technologies (automation, AI/ML, molecular tools), and incorporate digital innovations to improve productivity and quality; serve as cross-functional lead on CMC teams for pipeline acceleration; mentor scientific staff; author regulatory documentation (IND, BLA); foster external collaborations; present findings externally. Requirements: Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field; 6+ years in biopharma with proven platform leadership in mammalian cell culture, transfection, clone screening, and cell banking; expertise in automation, high-throughput screening, CRISPR, NGS, digital PCR; solid understanding of CMC regulatory standards; demonstrated leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred: experience applying AI/ML for predictive modeling, analytical characterization methods (SEC, CE-SDS, cIEF).
