Director, Semantic & Knowledge Engineering

Role: Lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise semantic models, ontologies, knowledge graphs, and metadata frameworks to support AI, analytics, and enterprise knowledge platforms. Responsibilities: develop semantic assets such as ontologies, taxonomies, vocabularies; build and maintain knowledge graphs; partner with AI, Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams to embed semantic capabilities; establish metadata standards and governance processes; support AI initiatives like RAG, reasoning engines, and contextual search; evaluate emerging semantic tech; mentor semantic engineers. Requirements: Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Information Science, AI, Data Science, or related; 8+ years in semantic technologies, knowledge engineering, or enterprise info architecture; hands-on experience with ontologies, RDF/OWL, knowledge graphs, semantic web tech; proven success enabling AI, analytics, and interoperability; strong leadership, stakeholder management skills. Desirable: experience applying semantic tech to generative AI, agentic AI, or regulated industries like pharma or healthcare.
