Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the Cloud ERP initiative for Vertex, representing Strategic Sourcing & Procurement; drive multi-year planning and execution.
- Partner on future-state Source-to-Pay (S2P) design, requirements, and prioritization.
- Develop and lead VAIDA for sourcing plan/deployment with DTE, including readiness of sourcing/procurement knowledge articles and documentation.
- Embed AI readiness practices across the strategic sourcing organization and SS&P/S2P evolution roadmaps.
- Evolve and mature sourcing value tracking programs for multi-year savings pipelines; align with business and finance for budget planning.
- Deploy and evolve value tracking methodologies/tools, including VBM in GMDA, with finance and the business.
- Own Savings Value Sourcing/Finance governance to ensure savings realization, budget alignment, and a single source of truth for value.
- Elevate CoE capabilities via programs, best practices, leadership, role modeling, peer coaching, and development.
- Partner with sourcing leaders, business, DTE, and suppliers to drive adoption and align processes with business objectives; develop and embed tools/processes for consistency, simplification, and sustainability.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Technology, or related field (MBA/advanced degree preferred).
Required Experience
- 10+ years in procurement/supply chain/digital transformation; 5+ years in leadership.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Experience deploying large-scale procurement technology (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, Ivalua, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong S2P, category management, and supplier engagement knowledge.
- Proven delivery of measurable outcomes via transformation/automation/UX redesign.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management; strategic execution and autonomy.
- Strong business-partner relationships at senior levels; thoughtful, fast, articulate.
- Ability to manage multiple complex priorities and deliver on-time.
