Position Summary
The Director of Retina Marketing will innovate and develop Retina marketing strategies and tactics by translating complex science into clear, compelling, and emotionally resonant brand narratives, ensuring consistency across customer touchpoints and effective execution across channels and the patient journey.

Essential Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end U.S. brand strategy (positioning, segmentation, targeting, lifecycle planning).
- Define brand identity (core promise, tone, personality, visual direction) and lead core creative messaging and narrative architecture.
- Establish competitive frame of reference; ensure consistency across retina, patient, and payer audiences.
- Design retina specialist go-to-market engagement model (disease education through product availability) and develop omnichannel framework (NPP/Digital/Media).
- Provide strategic direction and messaging governance for creative agencies; set guardrails and review major assets.
- Partner with Medical/Legal/Regulatory to maintain compliance without diluting the brand narrative.
- Integrate demand and access: partner with Market Access (buy-and-bill economics) and payer strategy; anticipate and mitigate access friction.
- Lead cross-functional integration across Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Patient Engagement; support patient journey programs, tools, and practice workflows.
- Synthesize competitive insights and define/track KPIs (brand awareness/understanding, message recall/differentiation, adoption/engagement); refine brand narrative based on feedback.

Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or other advanced degree.
- Minimum 10 years of marketing experience.
- Minimum last 5 years working on brand launch (retina preferred).
- Ownership of pre-launch strategy, insights generation, disease education, and cross-functional leadership (buy-and-bill/ophthalmology/retina preferred).
- Thrives in ambiguity; exceptional communications and critical thinking.
- Prior experience with MLR/PRC submissions and process.
- Up to 30% domestic travel.

Salary Range
$235,000 USD - $245,000 USD
