Director, REMS Operations
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Risk Management Programs (RiskMAPs; REMS with Elements to Assure Safe Use)
- Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs, Sales & Marketing, Legal Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Medical Affairs, Quality Management & Compliance, and Finance to support approvals, launches, safety monitoring/reporting, educational materials, audits, and budgets
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and manage Risk Management Programs for a small portfolio of products
- Provide vendor management: evaluate/select vendors (per procurement policies), develop/manage contracts, review/approve vendor invoices and program deliverables, monitor/report progress, identify risks/issues, and seek management input/approval
- Serve as Teva representative at Industry Working Groups/Consortiums for shared REMS programs
- Act as internal REMS expert; attend REMS program meetings; interface with Regulatory on REMS document submissions
- Identify industry best practices for continuous improvement and cost-efficient operations
- Accountable for departmental budget/financials
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Masterโs Degree in a healthcare discipline OR MBA (preferred)
- Minimum 10 (preferably 12) years managing large projects/programs in a regulated industry
- Minimum 5 years working with FDA on regulatory submissions
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Pharmaceutical drug safety/regulatory experience; vendor management/oversight
- Experience with software systems and call center technologies; understanding of FDA REMS regulations
- FDA regulatory knowledge required
- Analysis/problem solving; judgment; interpersonal, collaboration/negotiation, leadership (manage a team of 3); professional communication; project management; knowledge of FDA guidance for post-authorization patient safety/compliance programs
