Brief Description:
The Director of Real-World Evidence (RWE) provides scientific/strategic/tactical leadership for RWE studies and analyses using administrative claims data and EMR, reporting to the Head of RWE. Leads rigorous assessments of claims data and EMR to evaluate real-world outcomes for Jazz products, ensuring timeliness and delivery of scientifically valid research.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Develop RWE strategies for one or multiple molecules with internal partners.
- Drive RWE innovation and communicate results to internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, HTA bodies, and scientific communities; publish in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Lead design and execution of RWE research using claims data/EMR, including protocol development and contribution to statistical analysis plans (SAPs).
- Provide RWE leadership across cross-functional teams (HEOR, medical affairs, clinical development).
- Support operational process development for daily RWE activities.
- Assess real-world data assets; establish data curation plans, including data licenses and data platforms.
- Stay current on RWE methodology and applications.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- PhD in epidemiology (or related discipline) with research experience.
- Analytic experience with healthcare claims databases and EMR.
- Familiarity with US/global healthcare delivery, payers, and reimbursement models.
- Experience designing/collecting/analyzing RWE using claims datasets, EMRs, and patient charts.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to work with multidisciplinary teams for project/contract management and financial reporting.
- Experience with big data analytical platforms.
- Track record of peer-reviewed RWE publications.
- Strategic/conceptual skills to develop innovative product differentiation approaches.
Education and Licenses:
- PhD in epidemiology or related discipline.
