Brief Description:
The Director of Real-World Evidence (RWE) provides leadership for RWE studies and analyses using administrative claims data and EMR, reporting to the Head of RWE. Leads the analytics team establishing rigorous assessments of administrative claims data and EMR to evaluate real-world outcomes for Jazz products; oversees tactical planning and execution of RWE projects by internal and external teams to ensure timely delivery of scientifically valid research.
Responsibilities:
- Develop RWE strategies for one or more molecules to support global/regional product evidence.
- Drive RWE innovations and communicate effectively to internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, HTA bodies, and scientific communities; publish in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Lead design and execution of RWE research using claims data/EMR, including protocols and contributions to statistical analysis plans (SAPs).
- Provide RWE leadership across cross-functional teams spanning HEOR, medical affairs, and clinical development.
- Support operational processes for daily RWE activities with the Head of Medical Affairs Statistics, Epidemiology and RWE.
- Assess real-world data assets and establish data curation plans, including data licenses and data platforms.
- Stay current with RWE methodology research and applications.
Qualifications:
- PhD in epidemiology (or related discipline) with research experience.
- Analytic experience with healthcare claims databases and EMR.
- Familiarity with US and global healthcare delivery systems (e.g., payers, reimbursement).
- Experience designing, collecting, and analyzing RWE using claims, EMRs, and patient charts.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to work with multidisciplinary teams for program/project/contract management and financial reporting.
- Experience with big data analytical platforms.
- Track record of peer-reviewed scientific publications in RWE.
