Role: Lead global R&D Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) programs as Director-level authority, focusing on industrial hygiene and hazard control across research sites. Responsibilities: serve as technical SME for chemical, biological, and physical hazards; lead and moderate a global EH&S Community of Practice; design exposure-assessment programs; oversee hazard control strategies for potent compounds and high-hazard biologics; ensure containment and engineering controls; support risk assessments, laboratory safety, incident investigations, and EH&S reporting. Collaborate with senior stakeholders in GWE, Research, and enterprise functions to drive EH&S performance improvements, develop metrics, and manage governance; explore AI integration and support vendor and M&A EH&S due diligence. Qualifications: Bachelor's in industrial hygiene, environmental health, chemistry, engineering, or related field; 10+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech EH&S, with deep expertise in industrial hygiene, exposure assessment, and laboratory safety; proven senior leadership in matrix organizations; thorough knowledge of US and international EH&S regulations. Preferred: CIH certification, advanced degrees, experience with high-potency compounds, biologics, BSL-3, enterprise systems, and global vendor management. This hybrid role may require up to 30% travel, mainly domestically and internationally, with work across multiple global R&D sites. Location preference: U.S. East Coast or other Pfizer locations, based on business needs.
