Role: Lead R&D Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Programs, specializing in industrial hygiene, to support global research operations. Responsibilities: serve as the technical authority on chemical, physical, biological hazards; lead exposure assessment programs; oversee hazard controls for potent compounds and biologics; manage EH&S community of practice; influence enterprise EH&S policies; lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and performance metrics; explore AI solutions; support vendor and M&A EH&S due diligence; and develop EH&S talent. Qualifications: Bachelor's in industrial hygiene, environmental health, chemistry, or related field; 10+ years of EH&S experience in pharma/biotech; deep expertise in industrial hygiene, exposure monitoring, and hazard control; senior leadership experience influencing across multiple sites; working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, biosafety standards; strong communication skills. Preferred: CIH certification; advanced degrees; experience with high-potency compounds, BSL-3, and EH&S management systems; active professional membership. High-Value: focus on regulated life sciences environments, including laboratory and pilot plants, with emphasis on potent compounds and biologics; global scope with travel up to ~30%; hybrid work setup, preferably on U.S. East Coast. Collaboration: reports to Sr. Director, R&D and Capital Strategy; influences enterprise programs and site-level governance; manages a global community of EH&S professionals.
