Role: Lead global R&D Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) and industrial hygiene programs for Pfizer's research operations, serving as the principal technical authority on chemical, physical, and biological hazard management. Responsibilities: oversee hazard recognition, exposure assessment, containment strategies, and engineering controls; lead community of practice of EH&S professionals; shape enterprise EH&S policies, metrics, and risk registers; advise senior leadership on risk mitigation; explore AI applications in EH&S; lead incident investigations, vendor programs, and M&A due diligence; support talent development. Requirements: Bachelor's in industrial/occupational hygiene, chemistry, engineering, or related; 10+ years in EH&S within pharma or high-hazard sciences; deep expertise in industrial hygiene (exposure assessment, monitoring, hazard control); proven senior leadership in a global, matrixed environment; strong regulatory knowledge (OSHA, EPA, biosafety standards). Preferred: CIH certification; advanced degree (MS/PhD); experience with high-potency compounds, biologics, BSL-3, or ADCs; familiarity with EH&S management systems (e.g., Enablon).
