Position Summary:
Director, Data, Data Science & AI (People Leader) for Therapeutics Development & Supply (TDS). Lead building/scaling of data engineering, semantic/ontology, and knowledge graph capabilities that underpin AI/ML and analytics across TDS. Manage a team of 5+ and partner cross-functionally across R&D, DDSAI, and J&J IT.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute TDS Data Product strategy; build multi-year roadmap enabling AI/ML and GenAI priorities.
- Deliver high-quality, AI-ready, governed, reusable data products for TDS projects and foundational analytics.
- Design/build/optimize scalable data pipelines integrating ELNs, MES, LIMS, SAP, quality systems, and clinical supply data.
- Implement data quality standards, lineage, and governance aligned to enterprise and GxP requirements.
- Ensure data integrity, data model validation, computerized system compliance, and model interpretability.
- Lead TDS semantic layer strategy (ontologies, reference data, controlled vocabularies, knowledge graphs) aligned to enterprise canonical models.
- Recruit, develop, and lead data product engineers, ontology developers, and data scientists.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Advanced degree in CS/Data Science/Engineering (or related quantitative field).
- 10+ years in data engineering/architecture/science platform development; 3+ years in people leadership.
- Expertise in AWS/Snowflake, Python, SQL, graph databases, semantic technologies/knowledge graphs.
- Proven delivery/scaling of enterprise-grade data products.
- Strong cross-functional leadership influencing Senior Director/VP stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Pharma R&D, life sciences manufacturing, or GxP experience.
- Ontology engineering (OWL/RDF/SKOS), knowledge graphs, FAIR principles.
- MLOps (model registries, feature stores, automated retraining pipelines).
- Partnered with IT/data platform teams on architecture decisions.
