Role Summary

Director, Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) role leading development and application of QSP models to guide clinical study designs and provide mechanistic insights into study results. Collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to advance understanding of disease mechanisms and therapeutic strategies. On-site presence required 2 to 3 days a week in specified locations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply QSP models to inform clinical study designs and interpret study results.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate QSP approaches into drug development strategies.
  • Build and utilize models of biological and disease processes to evaluate drug candidates and treatment modalities.
  • Translate QSP analyses into actionable insights and communicate findings effectively to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Stay current with emerging modeling methodologies and contribute to the scientific community through publications and presentations.
  • Lead and mentor other QSP modelers, fostering collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience in developing and applying QSP approaches in drug discovery and development.
  • Proficiency in mathematical modeling, including ordinary differential equations and parameter estimation.
  • Hands-on experience with modeling tools such as MATLAB, R, SimBiology, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and their application in clinical study design.
  • Knowledge of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and quantitative clinical pharmacology principles.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
