Role: Senior leader and technical expert in downstream bioprocessing within Lilly's Process Translation and Execution team, focusing on biologics including monoclonal antibodies, ADCs, ARC, peptides, and oligonucleotides, across clinical and commercial stages. Responsibilities: oversee technology transfer, process development, and GMP production support for clinical supply; lead and mentor a team of scientists specializing in chromatography, TFF/UFDF, viral inactivation, and viral filtration; drive process innovation and define site technology strategies; collaborate cross-functionally with Process Development, Process Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory teams; support tech transfer for product commercialization and participate in regulatory inspections. Qualifications: PhD in Biological, Biochemical, or Chemical Engineering or related discipline; 12+ years in biologics development or manufacturing with extensive downstream expertise; experience in chromatography, viral inactivation, viral filtration, and process scale-up; proven leadership in team development. Preferred: hands-on experience with bioconjugation, continuous processing platforms, PAT tools, and next-generation modalities like mRNA or LNP downstream processing; strong knowledge of cGMP and regulatory standards. Work setup: based in Indianapolis, with 5-10% travel; laboratory and manufacturing environment.
