Position: Director, Public Affairs (Washington, D.C.)

Responsibilities:
- Drive integrated public affairs strategy across federal/state levels and priority markets.
- Plan and execute high-stakes, multi-stakeholder public affairs campaigns to build support for BMS policy positions.
- Execute advocacy and digital strategy to activate constituencies and expand political footprint.
- Partner with U.S. Policy & Government Affairs for alignment with business/policy objectives.
- Monitor political/regulatory/election developments; translate intelligence into recommendations for senior leadership.
- Build and manage coalitions with stakeholders (e.g., patient groups, associations, business coalitions, think tanks, community organizations).
- Develop campaign plans (messages, paid media, digital engagement, field operations) and track/report outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience (Required/Preferred):
- 8–10+ years in political campaigns, corporate public affairs, advocacy, or related field; proven state/federal/national campaign success.
- Knowledge of federal legislative/regulatory process; familiarity with federal/state political landscapes.
- Strong written/verbal communications; narrative and executive-ready materials; talking points/op-eds.
- Integrated campaign strategy + vendor management (earned/paid media, digital/social advocacy, grassroots/grasstops).
- University degree required (Political Science/Public Policy/Communications or related preferred).
- Preferred: health care/pharma/biotech/business experience; understanding of U.S. health policy, drug pricing, and patient access.

On-site requirement: Physical presence at the Washington, D.C. office; on-site expectations depend on role occupancy.
