Operations
Main Responsibilities
PMO Leadership
- Establish and continuously improve PMO governance frameworks, methodologies, templates, and tools across the PSS portfolio.
- Maintain a holistic view of the project portfolio to ensure prioritization, resource allocation, and capacity management.
- Act as primary traffic controller for project assignments; balance workload based on portfolio demands and capacity.
- Deliver executive-level portfolio reporting on project health, risks, and strategic alignment.
- Define and enforce escalation protocols to surface and resolve issues appropriately.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning, execution, and reporting.
- Partner with PSS leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align the portfolio with evolving business priorities.
Project Management
- Directly manage 1–2 initiatives at any given time.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to drive alignment, accountability, and execution.
- Develop and maintain project charters, integrated plans, risk registers, and communication strategies.
- Serve as primary point of contact for senior stakeholders on priority projects.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks and dependencies.
Team Leadership
- Directly manage a team of Project Managers.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and development support.
- Act as escalation point to remove barriers.
- Cultivate flexibility and shared ownership across PMs.
Strategic Partnership
- Build trusted relationships across PSS leadership, franchise teams, and partners.
- Represent the PSS Enterprise Delivery Office in governance forums.
- Contribute to PSS strategy and ways of working.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive project/program management experience.
- Experience building/leading a PMO, including governance design and portfolio management.
- Pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare experience (patient services, commercial or franchise operations preferred).
- Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution.
- Executive stakeholder management, organizational/analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
- Ability to thrive in a matrixed, global, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing product launches.
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery.
Travel
- Up to 10% travel.
