Director, Project Engineering
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Clinton Site Master Plan and Site Capital Plan, including short- and long-term capital forecasting, recapitalization planning, and monthly project portfolio performance reporting
- Provide leadership to project engineering staff, including performance management, coaching, succession planning, and development of a high-performing team
- Drive safe execution of all engineering and construction activities by embedding HSE, environmental, and process safety principles into project design and contractor operations
- Oversee site capital project portfolio execution, including capital approvals, cash flow tracking, budget alignment, and resource prioritization across business needs
- Manage alliance contractor relationships, including contract ownership, labor agreements, productivity metrics, and performance oversight for external engineering/construction partners
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelorβs Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant professional experience
- Required Experience: Minimum of 8 years of project engineering, capital project management, or engineering leadership experience
- Top skills: Strong capital project leadership expertise; ability to influence cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders through effective communication and negotiation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working directly with alliance contractors in a manufacturing or industrial site environment
- Knowledge of facility construction estimating, design scheduling, and project controls (scope, cost, schedule, safety)
- Prior supervisory or people-management experience leading technical teams
- Proficiency with SAP project engineering modules and Veeva systems
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
