Role Summary

Director, Principal Consultant

Join Novartis US’s Internal Consulting team, a global network driving strategic transformations that fuel revenue growth, optimize costs, expand access to medicines, and build future-ready capabilities. As a Director, Principal Consultant, you’ll lead high-impact initiatives from concept to execution, bridging innovation and implementation to deliver measurable enterprise value. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the future of healthcare through strategic transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of enterprise-wide transformation programs/projects aligned with US Commercial priorities in collaboration with business leads.
  • Frame problems, scope projects, develop frameworks and approaches using structured problem-solving methods
  • Lead program delivery, facilitate workshops and design discussions to drive actionable outcomes.
  • Guide high-performing teams and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Manage a diverse transformation project portfolio across strategic, operational, digital, and cultural domains.
  • Drive innovation (AI initiatives, whitepapers, etc.) and operational excellence.
  • Lead internal initiatives and adoption of new tools and methods
  • Lead complex initiatives with senior stakeholders.
  • Apply capabilities like strategic program management, operating model design, AI enablement, and change management.
  • Partner cross-functionally for integrated execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related fields.
  • 12+ years of experience utilizing core consulting skills, demonstrating analytical and strategic thinking, problem-solving, strong communication and interpersonal skills, adaptability, and proficiency in program and project management, as well as relevant industry tools and methodologies.
  • Minimum of 4 years in management consulting at a reputed global or boutique/local consulting firm preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector, particularly in the US market, including an understanding of industry dynamics, specific challenges, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.

Desirable

  • MBA or relevant post-graduate degree.
  • Certifications in PMP, AI, Agile, Change Management, Product Management, Design Thinking
