Key Duties / Responsibilities
- Strategic partner with the Deliverable Team Chair, Portfolio Program Manager (PPM), and Portfolio Program Planner; develop deliverables team global strategy and drive execution across products and indications for the asset.
- Project manage deliverable team strategy development across indications; ensure aligned execution plans.
- Develop, monitor, and control cross-functional plans, timeline, budget, and milestones; ensure alignment with asset project management team (PMT).
- Member of the Asset Program Management Team (PMT); support governance approvals at each stage gate.
- Evaluate, monitor, and control project risks.
- Support cross-functional teams to execute on time and within budget; accountable for deliverable and overall project timelines.
- Drive cross-functional/project team effectiveness.
- Facilitate project team operations: manage meetings, agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
- Ensure timely communication of management decisions; monitor/report progress, milestones, and forecasts.
- Resolve issues: mitigate/prevent potential risks/issues; identify items needing governance/management resolution.
- Define key decision points and go/no-go criteria; provide decision analysis tools/expertise.
- Support management meetings to ratify decisions.
- Train and coach team members on governance, roles/responsibilities, planning, goals/milestones, and project management tools.
Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field (required).
- 8β12 years in pharmaceutical industry (Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, or Pharmaceutical Development) with multidisciplinary product development involvement.
- 5+ years direct experience in project management for drug/device product development projects (or equivalent).
- Advanced knowledge of global drug development, product registration, and launch processes.
- PMP certification helpful but not required.
