Role Summary
The Director, Portfolio and Pipeline Strategy, Immunology will support the TA Head, GM and the ED, Portfolio & Pipeline Strategy by working cross-functionally to build the foundation for sustainable and profitable growth of the CV TA over the 10+ year horizon, in line with the enterprise operating model.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the TA Head, GMs and ED, Portfolio and Pipeline Strategy to build forward-looking competitive readiness plans rooted in understanding of the external competitive environment, collaborating with IDS and internal product/portfolio strategies.
- Support input on assets to S&G, Development and BioMedical Research to ensure maximal commercial viability and launch value generation, including Life Cycle Management planning for new indications, formulations and labels and Integrated Evidence Plans for early pipeline assets.
- Help partner with US BD&L and US Market Access to provide country-level input for BD&L evaluations in line with deal archetype guidance (e.g., TPP development, stakeholder research, DC/IMB prep).
- Support strategic evaluations and initiatives that inform DA and TA strategies and provide input for TAL (White Papers/Position Papers) on competitive levers, portfolio gaps and unmet needs.
- Lead or support the transition of late-stage pipeline assets from S&G to US Commercial 6+ months before FDP, contributing to FDP submission package and representing US Commercial needs at forums until transition to IPST.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required in a relevant area; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of commercial experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare or consulting, with at least 2 different cross-functional roles (sales, marketing, strategy, market access or medical experiences preferred).
- Recent US market commercialization experience with launches and various lifecycle stages, or General Manager experience in other countries.
- Experience partnering with Medical Affairs and/or Development to inform strategic choices.
- Autonomous, proactive leader with creative problem-solving skills and industry knowledge; portfolio approach to innovative strategies in a competitive marketplace.
- Ability to lead and maintain consistent competitive readiness excellence.
