Director - PKDM - Small Molecule Portfolio Strategy & Leadership
What You Will Do
Strategic PKDM-BA leadership on cross-functional teams to advance small molecule programs from candidate discovery through clinical development and regulatory submission.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic PKDM-BA leadership for small molecule discovery and development programs.
- Drive cross-functional teams via scientific innovation, risk assessment, and proactive problem solving.
- Lead PKDM-BA contributions to regulatory submissions (INDs, NDAs) and global health authority interactions.
- Define and execute scientific strategies for candidate selection, optimization, development, and registration.
- Identify and implement emerging technologies/approaches to improve drug disposition understanding and development outcomes.
- Partner with business development for external opportunities and scientific due diligence.
- Build collaborative relationships across therapeutic areas and partner functions.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and inspire scientific talent.
- Contribute to organizational strategy and the future direction of small molecule PKDM-BA capabilities.
Basic Qualifications:
- PhD (or PharmD) OR MD (with relevant post-doc where applicable) + 5 years industry OR Master’s + 8 years industry OR Bachelor’s + 10 years industry in Pharmaceutical Sciences/PK/Drug Metabolism/Pharmacology/Chemistry or related.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Track record of scientific/strategic leadership across multiple small molecule programs.
- Experience supporting INDs/NDAs.
- Deep drug disposition/PK/translational strategy expertise.
- People management (recruiting/coaching/developing).
- Cross-therapeutic area and/or modality experience; strong scientific external presence; strong communication/collaboration.
