Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Develop, champion, and communicate vision and overall strategy to stakeholder groups to guide portfolio prioritization, asset strategies, and BD investments.
- Understand market/segment value drivers, growth opportunities, target product profiles, positioning, and revenue potential for multiple clinical-stage assets/indications to build portfolio value proposition and a strong P&L investment thesis.
- (Co)-lead tumor disease strategy teams for development of multiple assets within the same tumor (when applicable) with an enterprise/portfolio mindset.
- Define and drive strategic value creation across lifecycle with R&D and cross-functional commercial partners.
- Partner with Global Medical Affairs, Pharma Development, and Commercial cross-functional leaders to develop scientific platforms and drive data generation to meet global/area label and claim requirements.
- Identify new franchise value generation; drive innovative approaches to accelerate commercialization and maximize value for patients and company.
- Drive prioritization of key leverage points in the treatment process and develop behavioral objectives for stakeholder groups to define commercial strategy.
- Manage risks, opportunities, and issues effectively and transparently at strategic and operational levels.
- Initiate geo-strategy and indication prioritization with R&D, Commercial leaders, and Affiliates, including reimbursement/access strategies.
- Demonstrate leadership and implement optimal program structures to support timely decision-making.
- Broaden AbbVie’s Oncology network by building relationships with scientific/academic KOLs, payers, and patient advocacy.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree (MBA, Ph.D., or MD) preferred.
- 10–15+ years pharmaceutical industry experience in progressive commercial leadership roles in marketing and/or sales; P&L ownership preferred (US or major markets).
- Successful launch experience preferred; managed care, oncology, and global experience preferred.
- Ability to influence and manage complex internal/external stakeholders; strong strategic marketing and scientific/clinical understanding.
- Strong financial/commercial acumen; P&L driver understanding; ability to develop investment and top-line sales forecasts.
- Strong executive presence; lead organizational change; partner effectively in a matrixed environment; coach and develop talent.
