Role: Senior scientific leader in pharmacology, responsible for developing translational strategies to advance pipeline assets, primarily in ophthalmology. Responsibilities include establishing external partnerships, guiding non-clinical experiments to elucidate mechanisms of action, disease models, and pharmacodynamics, and supporting early clinical development decisions. The role bridges discovery and clinical teams, supporting project progression from preclinical to early clinical phases, with a focus on unmet patient needs. Requirements: PhD or MD/PhD in biological sciences; 10+ years in pharma or biotech, with expertise in mechanisms of action, disease models, and translational science, especially in ophthalmology or related fields. Experience with assay development, CRO management, and regulatory documentation preferred.
