Director, Pharmaceutical Sciences Program Leadership

Role: Lead and provide strategic scientific leadership for complex global CMC development programs within Takeda's pharmaceutical sciences. Objectives include shaping divisional and cross-divisional strategies, advancing product development, and mentoring teams. Responsibilities encompass managing multiple programs, identifying and mitigating risks, representing CMC in governance, and influencing innovation. The role requires building cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and acting as an internal scientific consultant. Qualifications include a PhD with 10+ years (or MS with 16+ years, BS with 18+ years) experience in pharmaceutical development, with deep expertise in chemical, analytical, process engineering, DMPK, Pharmacology, Toxicology, and regulatory compliance (cGMP, ICH). Proven leadership in multidisciplinary project management, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication are essential. High-value biopharma specifics involve experience with complex development programs, global regulatory submissions, and cross-divisional initiatives. The position is based in Boston, MA, full-time, exempt, with no specified travel requirements.
